My background

I’m an economist by training and a data analyst by trade. My career spans 16+ years across two continents — working with financial data in both public sector regulation and large-scale commercial environments.

My most recent role was at the Payment Systems Regulator (part of the Financial Conduct Authority), where I led end-to-end analysis on national APP fraud data — the kind of work where accuracy isn’t optional. Before that, I built analytics with organizations like Visa, Intuit, Motability and many more. Different industries, same discipline: turning messy data into something decision-makers can actually use.

Academically, I hold two master’s degrees — an MSc in Economics & Econometrics from the University of Kent, and an MA in Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia.

Why this, why me

Throughout my career, I kept noticing the same gap. Organisations I worked for had access to sophisticated data tools and the analysts to run them. The average household had neither.

People aren’t overpaying on energy, broadband, or insurance because they’re careless. They’re overpaying because benchmarking your own costs against the market has always required tools that don’t exist for normal people. UNTIL NOW.

“I spent 16 years building these kinds of tools for regulators and corporations. Cost Saver is the same work, pointed in a different direction.”

The technical foundation

Cost Saver isn’t powered by guesswork or generic AI outputs. Under the hood it runs multi-model AI pipelines ingesting real-time data from a number of official UK sources — Ofgem, ONS, Ofcom and others. The same rigour I applied to national regulatory reporting is applied here.

Mission & vision

Mission — Give every UK household access to accurate, data-backed insights about where their money goes. In plain English. Without needing a spreadsheet.

Vision — A Britain where everyday financial decisions are made on real data, not guesswork or confidently wrong AI answers.
